Bought because I had RE headsets in the past. The old ones worked great. I bought them so we can talk and register for the race. The headsets came with a piece of plastic hanging from a lanyard. I thought it was the battery cover. I had to tie it with string because it doesn't close. I think that was the only good thing about the headphones, it reminded me that you have to put a 9 volt battery in every headset. There is no mention of the need for a battery or what size. I understand that in many cases I do not need instructions. This time I needed to learn more about the headsets and the information wasn't in the manual, I guess I didn't need it in the end. What is a circuit breaker for? There is no indication of what position it should be in. We tried different combinations, but we just couldn't talk to each other. We plugged my daughter's headsets into the same scanner and could hear her normally, but she couldn't hear us. Once during the race I could hear another set, but she could never hear me, only my daughter. I should have guessed they were junk when I saw they needed a lanyard to keep from losing the battery door. Instead, they have to send a roll of tape.
