Review on 🟨 Bilstein 24-187435 Shock: A Dependable Yellow Shock Absorber by Rick Bishop

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Express 4500 Class C (RV) motorhome. It's got 90,000 on the odometer and the front end will bounce like crazy and porpoises jump down the freeway. I did a lot of research and honestly found very little about solving the problem. There is a heavy duty/commercial chassis shop near me that deals in supplies, tractors/trailers/trailers and vans. When I spoke to them, they said the shocks wouldn't make a difference and we needed to "add a sheet metal" to the rear to put more weight on the front wheels. I have enough experience in suspension tuning and maintenance. Years of HPDE/Track Days and Autocross, so I'm familiar enough with the ride characteristics to know they were only partially correct when they suggested increasing the rear spring rate. 4500 chassis is excellent. To my surprise, the old shocks did NOT leak or explode. I was concerned as I suspected they would be told how much the front end bounced. Well, after installing Bilsteins, I am happy to report that when there is no fresh water in the RV, cracking is almost completely eliminated. We have a 3200 mile trip planned next week so will update the review after we get back.
