Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ HP PageWide Pro 477dw Color Inkjet MFP A4 Printer in Black by Yusri Yieotal Otai แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Due to the strong pressure from finances, we went on an experiment. Inkjet printing for the office. Pretty risky. But a six-month test, and trial operation so far speaks of a positive experience. This is the fastest desktop MFP you've ever seen! Users say thank you. After the unsuccessful Ricoh 242, this is just a machine gun. So far, in general, we do not regret it, but I suspect the service life of these printers will not be long. Prerequisites - liquid ink, which sooner or later will do its dirty work. And a fixed head will not save you from this. The old lasers have been plowing for the eighth year already, they have already turned yellow and faded. But the needs are no longer closed

Pros
  • Very fast. Easy to set up. Relatively inexpensive print (about 1p per sheet). Copies pretty well. There is no movable head - it is the entire width of the sheet (the same pagewide technology). Capacious paper tray. Intuitive touch screen interface, easy to use without any instructions. Able to scan to mail, to a USB flash drive, to a folder. Cartridges are small compared to lasers. Hooked on a Wi-Fi network without any tambourines. Very inexpensive device for its characteristics. Just some kind of miracle. Apparently they will take their own expense.
Cons
  • Presentations and prints with a lot of graphics come out damp, curled, translucent. The picture is faded, not as bright and light as on lasers. The first start takes about 20 minutes of rustling and self-tuning. At the same time, an extremely unpleasant smell emanates from the printer, like the smell of dirty socks. The consumable itself is not as direct cheap as it is described. 9,600 for a 10,000-page "high-yield" cartridge. Knowing HP, I dare to assume that in a couple of years they will increase the cost of a cartridge by two or three times in order to buy new printers. And yet, the setup cartridge can only work on a NEW printer out of the box, if you insert it into an already installed printer, it will not print, you need to "activate" it first :) This approach, to be honest, surprised and strained. who's in charge here? printer or host?
