I teach Medical Anatomy so this review may be a little pickier than it deserves but anyway please. in the right orientation. The vertebral artery is good because it runs up the cervical vertebrae and through the top of the atlas. After that, the pattern of blood vessels is destroyed, but it is comfortable for a while. The vertebrae flex, straighten, twist, and side-flex slightly, so this is useful. Removable hip heads are neat. The bad thing is that the spinous processes in the lumbar and thoracic regions look normal, and in the cervical spine there is almost no evidence of the presence of bifurcated spinous processes there. The bodies of the cervical vertebrae have no uncinate processes. The skull rotates on the atlas, not the atlas rotates on the axis. The sacral nerves (anterior and posterior branches) are SO BIG. All of the spinal nerves on this model are oversized, which can be useful for training, but the sacral planes are just outrageous. The herniation of the red nucleus pulposus at L4-L5 is too lateral and should be shown slightly more posterior to illustrate why it may compress the nerve as it exits the intervertebral foramen. Although there are casts of transverse rib facets in the thoracic region, there are no notches on the vertebral bodies indicating rib facets or hemifacets where the rib heads articulate. the general public, but not quite to the medical level of accuracy.
