This pin came in a cute box which is great for gift wrapping. The two chains were separated on the pin I received. It took a long time to loosen and reattach with pliers. This was easy enough, but not everyone has jewelry pliers, which is why I took two stars off this particular needle. The pin itself is a bright and shiny gold color and looks great on dark fabrics. The rose petals are very detailed and look beautiful. The chains tend to twist, but I expected that. Straightening the limbs takes a few minutes after you attach the pin to the lapel. This is costume jewelry, so the tallow will eventually stain it. It's a safety pin, so it shouldn't make too much contact with the skin, and discoloration shouldn't be a problem much longer than if it were a ring or bracelet.
