I bought this model because I wanted it to look retro but the color choice wasn't very good. Another key factor for me was a small heating pad. I haven't used it yet but I can say it will work very well. My favorite feature is the roguelike button. You put the bagel halves in, cut the side out, hit the bagel button and only the cut sides get toasted! And the buttons are highlighted, which was unexpected. I think $30 was a bit more than I wanted to spend but that's ok. I wish there were other color options like turquoise or pink.
