These spikes are flimsy plastic and I don't think $20 for 8 of them is the right price for what they made BUT they work , if you take good care of them. If someone accidentally steps on them with shoes, they will be ruined. However they are not tied together, you have to tie them together with ropes, zip ties or whatever as there is nothing in the kit to tie them together. They also make noises when removed. We keep them on the edge of the bed to scare the dog away, so we take them off at night and our sleeping kids go crazy with their noise. The description says "plastic mats" but I thought they were stronger and thicker than they actually are. But they work so I ordered another set for $20 because no one else has a similar design for less. The spacing and length of the spikes are perfect for keeping our dog and cat off our bed.
