Renata is an excellent battery. Silver oxide batteries are said to have a shelf life of up to 5 years (according to Renata). If the batteries I received have an expiration date of 12/2022 which is September 21st, they were probably manufactured on 12/2017 and have a shelf life of at least 43 months or about 25% of the expiration date. All I can say is buy with caution and ask beforehand. I trusted the reviews to ensure they are most likely up to date. Not so. However, other batteries ordered at the same time had an expiration date of 2025. So I would say that's the seller's problem.
