To be honest I'm impressed with the sound quality of the Jet 2, especially at this price point. They are head and shoulders better than any other headphones I have. On the manufacturer's website, the frequency response range is 05-20kHz. What the specs don't describe is the level of clarity they have, while having incredible subwoofer depth, and yet they never sound muffled or muddy. While not as perfect as the Pro or Pro 2, they easily compete with most IEMs at many times their own price. They were a steal when they sold for just under $90, but now at $55 you really can't beat them. They are great for mixing as well as just listening to music. You really hear every little nuance and somehow the music is even more fun to listen to. Just be aware that once you get the flares, they will ruin all your other headphones.
