Review on 📷 Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W560 14.1 MP Digital Camera: Wide-Angle Lens, 4x Optical Zoom, 3.0-inch LCD, Black by Hector Mak

I bought 4 for work a few weeks ago. We use them to record and document NDE investigations in a nuclear power plant. I like a camera that can get very personal with things like damaged screws, holes in materials and readings for Magnaflux testing. This camera gets the job done well, it's good for general indoor use and capable of capturing great detail with the lens at about 4-5 inches from the subject. The camera fits easily in a trouser pocket or cargo pants. It's not heavy or bulky at all. In low light it fires the intended light to focus and it works very well. Where they completely lost the ball was in the loading system. You cannot connect a USB cable and charge the device. You are forced to remove the battery and place it in a proprietary charging station. It's a pain when you use the camera on a daily basis, especially when compounded by the fact that the camera resets all date, time and settings memories whenever the battery is removed. Strange. It's a shame about the battery, it should have been charged internally and connected to the computer like a cell phone with a standard micro-USB cable. It's reminiscent of Sony's proprietary memory and proprietary iPhone/iPod charging cables. Things that make you want to spank someone. Don't be distracted by a battery or it would be a 5 star rating. It takes really great pictures, especially in its price range. The photos from there are great.
