Review on Marugo Outdoor Tabi Ninja Boots Jikatabi - MANNEN Nuitsuke (12 Hock) with Sewn Rubber Outsole by George Robinson

Let me just say that I bought this Jikatabi for work as a beautician. I need comfortable, very flat and versatile shoes. These shoes are all three of them. I wear a US standard 8.5, not wide but my calves are quite voluminous. FINGER: not too far apart, the separation is very natural and the size of the finger box is perfect for me personally. My other 4 fingers can be 1/4 inch longer and still fit comfortably. The outsole doesn't flex around the toe edges like other brands, giving it a much cleaner and smoother feel. It took me a few tries to get the fabric loops to fit perfectly and a bit of practice to hook them in quickly. A+ for dimensional tolerance. Insole: The insoles are flat, which suits me. The inserts on the sole fit perfectly and don't pinch my feet. OUTSOLE: Very grippy but VERY squeaky. For a quick fix, I recommend using a bar of cheap soap, drying it, and rubbing it all over the bottom of the sole, including the outside edges (no, you won't lose traction or slip. I've been doing this for years, especially on Doc Martens soles). After that, these villains are literally silent like ninjas. FABRIC: Thick and strong, comfortable soft lining won't sting. I will use a waterproofing/weather spray to prevent stains and to protect them from the elements or chemicals/products I'm working with. All in all great shoes.
