Two cartridges are enough for a year's supply
Who cares about a whole home filter? compared to just a sediment filter of the same micron size (on well water. Michigan sand beds. Well sits at 145 feet depth. Lives on Lake Michigan). It will also really help protect the filters in the reverse osmosis system used for domestic drinking water. I noticed that the Fe rust was gone immediately and I'm sure this will help reduce scale in the hot water tank. Shelf life has yet to be determined, but the plan is to change every six months. So two cartridges are enough for one year.
