baby loves that thing. She is two years old and has been sucking nonstop for about 3 days since she got this. The battery life is very good, so don't worry about spending a fortune on batteries. It also has a small suction part. You hardly feel it and it doesn't absorb anything, not even scraps of paper, but it's there. I wish it had a little more suction as there is a feature for the child to empty the canister. It would be cooler if it actually had something to empty. It's a little pricey for a toy vacuum, but it looks just like the real Dyson vacuum she's fighting us to use, so it was worth it. Plus, the parts attach like a real Dyson, so she feels like she's really doing what grown-ups do.
