Review on Anti-Vibration Shock Absorbing Rubber Mounting Bracket For Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioner Condensers by Brad Phifer

Works Well Except Stud Length Shorter than Description

Used this to mount the compressor unit of a Pioneer min-split AC to an outside wall. It works well and very little noise comes through. However, the drawing showed a 1-3/16" stud length. The actual length is 1". These feet come with a 1/4" rubber donut to put under the securing nut, but the stud was too short for that. The compressor frame uses up around 1/2". No way to put in a longer stud into the foot. Too bad, as 1-3/16" would have been long enough. It would be better for the manufacturer to supply a 2" stud and allow the install to cut it if necessary. I would have preferred to have enough length for the donut and double nuts for locking as it is better to not have these flexible mounts tightened too much as that reduces dampening. As the picture shows, I used double nuts to secure the feet to the wall-mounted bracket.

Pros
  • Used for generator feet. Worked great!
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustment to stay in place
