Review on 🔧 Motive Products 1810 Brake Fluid Container by Tim Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This catch bottle is a brake bleed item

Fast shipping. The catch bottle works and performs as advertised. There is no suction, so leave this field blank. This works in conjunction with a pressure tank that you connect to the master cylinder. What I do is suck up the old liquid with turkey spread or something. Then fill in new fluid, in my case DOT 4, for my BMW i3, then screw the pressure tank cap onto the master brake cylinder. Attach the catch bottle to the rear right brake cylinder. The one farthest from the master cylinder. Using a pressurized canister, pressurize the system to about 10 pounds, maybe up to 12 on the gauge. Of course, again, make sure your master cylinder is filled with the brake fluid you need for your car. (If you want to know what the pressure vessel looks like, just look at the Motive products.) Go to the right rear cylinder and use the key that fits the exhaust valve, just open it up so you can see how the Liquid in the breech tank flows naturally. You connected the rubber hose didn't you LOL You will probably see yellow liquid coming out of the lines and maybe a few bubbles. Tighten the valve and check the fluid level in the master cylinder, DO NOT RUN DRY. If more fluid is needed, depressurize the system and refill the master cylinder. BE CAREFUL, make sure the pressure is off or the fluid can splatter, if brake fluid gets on your paintwork it will ruin it and it's not good for your lol. Valve and go left back, then right front, and finally left front. Of course, these instructions apply to the master brake cylinders on the left-hand side of the vehicle, on the driver's side. Usually it is like this. This is a fairly easy task that will save you a few hundred dollars.
