Review on Dorman 902 310 Radiator Fan Relay by Wesley Holmes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation after removing the rivet

Code p0480 came out. I checked the fuse, the engine fan relay in the fuse box and finally found it was the radiator fan relay. It is in front of the radiator. For Dodge Caravan/Grand or Chrysler Town & Country you need to remove the front cover (5 screws + 2 bolts + 2 latches). The hardest part of this replacement is getting the rivet out. Tried drilling with a 1/4 bit. Took the top half off, removed the old block but took a hell of a long time to remove the remaining rivet. After some trial and error I started with a small beat and worked my way up to 1/4 beat. Once the rivet was removed, the included screw fitted snugly and the replacement took only 15 minutes (not counting my struggle with the old rivet). I started my van after the conversion and the check engine light went out. Find a detailed explanation on Youtube on how to replace this part. Make sure your drill bits are sharp. I've heard some reports that the season will only last a few months. I will do another review when this happens. Compared to Mopar, this Dorman unit costs several times less. By the way, I only used a real relay. I have not attempted to replace the cables that came with it.
