As others have pointed out, this is NOT the original HEPA filter. The design is ok at best as it mimics the real thing but is grossly out of tolerance. There is also no writing on the front to indicate that it is a HOOVER original. It's not even the black plastic case. The fact is that once inserted, the tray is not tight at all. A slight nudge from the vacuum threw it out of a spot where the original didn't at all. Also a slightly different filter design, but better quality in my opinion. The position of the carbon filter is not a thin layer like the original, but a thicker separate piece, which is better. I think with some tape or some tweaking it won't be a problem. A little more air comes out of the filter. but nothing as dramatic as some of the reviews already published. I need a filter and it came quicker than Hoover's website (and cheaper) so I won't bother with returns.
