Review on 🧼 Bosch Dishwasher 2-Pack 8.8 lbs Water Softener Salt by Finish - Enhanced Cleaning Performance by Maurice Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buy this if you have a quality Bosch dishwasher with integrated water softener

If you have hard water and a quality Bosch dishwasher with water softener, you need this product. conforms to Bosch specifications. Some say you can use any salt to soften the water. At short distances, probably. However, this material is thoroughly cleaned to remove the excess dirt found in most water softener salts. Those of you who use regular water softeners know what I'm talking about. If not, then try this experiment. Run out of salt in your water softener. Look at the water at the bottom of the salt container. See all that dirt and stuff downstairs? That's the crap you DON'T need in that powerful, micro-sized water softener you find in your new super-expensive Bosch dishwasher. Yes, this product is too expensive (for salt). But does it cost around $15 a bag so that little fabric softener doesn't clog? I claim yes. Revain sells two packs or one. A 2.2 pound packet fills your salt container, leaving you about half a pound for the next time you need it. I bought two pieces. I like being prepared. Your dishwasher will let you know when it needs more salt. front panel. Red light. It might even give you a sound. If you have a Bosch dishwasher and don't know if you have a water softener, pull out the bottom shelf and look for a round lid that says "Salt" (in about eight languages). Mine was center left. Another option is to find the model number (check the top panel and sides of the door) and call Bosch Technical Support: 800-944-2904. When you fill the salt shaker at the bottom of the dishwasher for the first time, fill it with water first. This helps emulsify the salt and create the salt bath needed to condition the resin (this absorbs the minerals that cause hard water stains and that annoying milky shine on your glassware). I used distilled water for this step, but the instructions don't indicate that it should be distilled. I just thought that any reduction in minerals would help keep the salt container cleaner. To be honest, it might not matter. Most of the water will be displaced when salt is added in the next step. Then fill in salt using the funnel provided by Bosch (if available). Do not spill salt on the bottom of the dishwasher. Salt can corrode and discolor stainless steel. As already mentioned, most of the water is displaced by the inflowing salt. As mentioned, you only need to do this the first time you fill the salt shaker. After the first time, the dishwasher automatically refills the required amount of water. Start the download immediately after filling. This will wash away any spilled salt. If this is your first time doing this, check how hard your water is. Bosch provides a small test strip. Very easy. Underwater for a second and then look at the strip. Not a single strip turns red and you can completely do without the use of fabric softener in the washing machine. Just close it and forget about it. One bar and you have slightly hard water. Two bars. a little harder. Three? Small stones go through your faucet. (If you lost what Bosch sent you, you can buy test strips at a hardware store.) Use the results to set your dishwasher softener to regenerate periodically. Instructions are in the manual. Call Bosch Technical Support (800-944-2904) if you don't have the manual or are confused by the whole process.
