It's gonna be a bit sad how addicted I am to simple stationery. but wow, i'm always glad i stumbled across them. This is my favorite desktop memory purchase to date. I was looking for some sort of storage solution for a variety of arts and crafts supplies, from tweezers and brushes to toothpicks and manicure tools, and I needed to be able to access those tools from the side. I was concerned that they would be too small for some of my instruments because they look very small, but in the end they turned out to be absolutely perfect. I don't know if they'll fit large markers or something, but I can fit whole sets of thinner sculpting tools in a hole. They looked tiny when they came out of the box and I was concerned, but they're more accommodating than they look. :D You can see in my product photo that the brushes on the right are about long or longer than the average pencil or marker, and a bunch of stuff I put in (like rubber tip tools, different kinds of cutters ). , pointed tools, tweezers, etc.) are not as long. They do an excellent job of storing a variety of things. Most things fit fairly well (the only things I couldn't fit were some extra large long-handled brushes and rubber molding tools). Hopefully the picture gives you an idea of the capacity. I like that they can be used both vertically and horizontally (although I use all my tools vertically) and I like that all the tools are stored at an angle. . What I really needed for my desk (an Ikea Kallax cabinet with a tabletop attached to one side) was a storage method that I could use for all my tools in the square Kallax drawers that gave me access to my tools on the side enabled .but DO NOT place them on the actual surface of my desk. (It was crammed with all sorts of storage space, taking up a large chunk of my actual workspace.) These organizers alone have freed me from having 4 separate bins on my desk that held various brushes and tools very inefficiently, and the slanted compartments make this extremely easy to do on the side Access to all these tools. (I have another vertical holder you can see on the left edge of my photo that was made specifically for sculpting tools and that I still use to hold some of my tools that are sharper on both ends, like toothpicks, before I was afraid to reach things around putting them in these organizers would cause me to poke myself :D) The bottom compartment is very small due to the slant but it is ideal for storing much smaller items ; I use mine for some sponges and little cutters and little hand drills and stuff like that. I also use the top to store other small items, mostly random items that I don't have room for right now. :D So far they've been really solid (to hold really sharp objects like a precision knife I cut a small piece off the eraser and used it to "close" the knife every time I put it down to make sure that it will not scratch or damage the back of this holder) and is very easy to use. They're pretty light; Sometimes I'll slip the tool back into one of the middle organizers and end up sliding it out of the others. If you had some longer stuff like markers it would be easier to accidentally tip them forward, I'm not sure. They don't really have a built in way to connect the blocks together which is a shame (a simple cast slide would do so so you could slide them together from above) but I would probably end up connecting them together. with command strips or something so I can parse them later for a different configuration if needed. (Something like stationery would probably work well too.) If you knew for sure you wouldn't want to rearrange them later, you could use a stronger glue or something. I don't know if I want them. Mainly store long things like pencils and markers or toothbrushes and other things as shown in the product photos. I think they tend to tilt when used vertically this way. (They'll probably be pretty stable horizontally.) But for small crafting camps, I think they're just brilliant.
