Just received the belt, looks great. I was concerned about how dry the leather was, so I bought a good conditioner called Bick LP and applied it all over the belt on both sides. Due to the extreme dryness, I recommend waiting a few days and applying a second coat. The buckle is wonderful, strong and reliable. They provided an extra screw cap and punch in case the strap you ordered was too long. There is a screw where the belt connects to the buckle. Loosen and remove the screw, which will free up the length of the belt. Do this when using conditioner to cover as much skin as possible. Cut what you need and using the old piece as a template, place it over the belt and run the hole punch through the existing hole and down through the belt to create the new hole exactly where it should have to be. Warning: I strongly recommend cutting the strap onto a piece of wood such as a piece of wood. a 2x4, before hitting the hammer with the hammer to avoid damaging furniture or the hammer by placing it on a concrete or tile surface.
