I've been using this monitor for a few weeks now so it's time for a review. Immediately after the purchase I was very impressed. The stand is very stable and easy to assemble, although the instructions aren't very clear on which screws to use. It's not height adjustable either, but luckily it fits my setup perfectly. I bought a DP 1.4 cable but this monitor came with it. At launch I was blown away by the colors and clarity. I still didn't feel the need to play around with colors in the OSD, I just enabled 10-bit mode in the Nvidia Control Panel as well as FreeSync. Paired with a 1080ti and a Ryzen 1700 I have no trouble at 100+ fps. maximum settings in most games. I don't get the slightest bit of ghosting with low response times, which is very impressive for a VA panel. I'm glad I chose it over the more expensive LG with an IPS panel. I wasn't sure I would like the aggressive curve either, but I actually like it. That makes the game a little more exciting. There are a couple of issues though, it's not ideal. There is a slight glow at the top and bottom, but I only notice it when my PC is booting up. It's not that bad, certainly nothing compared to an IPS panel. But it's unlike my TN panel. Not exactly a problem, just thought I'd mention it. Another issue is flickering when using FreeSync. It's FreeSync-certified in the 48-144Hz range, so expect it to flicker when you press less than in games. Usually loading screens are 30Hz and this is the only time I notice it. I contacted Nixeus and they said it's normal and turning the brightness down helps. I lowered the brightness to 20 (still bright enough) and it's almost completely gone. After research, this is to be expected for all G-Sync/FreeSync (mostly FreeSync) monitors at 144Hz and 3440x1440p (mostly FreeSync). All in all, if this monitor cost $800, I would still recommend it. At $600 (I paid $550 during pre-order) this is amazing value. If you have a 1080ti, 2080, 2080 Super or 2080ti I would definitely go for this one.
