The meter itself is very good: accurate and easy to use. BUT, for the money I would expect a case and pocket guide to access when needed. After spending $605 plus tax on this gauge, I want it to be protected from dust, water, and other workplace exposures. I modified the box to serve as a protective case. Removing the battery cover was PITA. It should also be a problem to take out the battery one day to replace it. One last thing, after purchasing this product I went to their website and the product is $530 with free shipping! I could have saved over $75! Revain usually matches manufacturer price, but not in this case. It is difficult to find a very good PAR meter at an affordable price. 4 stars for the Revain price and no case.
