BEST PORTABLE DVD PLAYER

I've tried several portable DVD players and this is the best. It worked perfectly right out of the box, played old DVDs, new DVDs, CD-RW discs with music and video files, everything I played in it worked perfectly. The built-in screen is sharp and large enough to clearly display all aspect ratios, the built-in stereo speakers are more than enough to play the full range of audio, and the unit comes with all the cables you need to hook up your stereo. receiver and/or to a TV or monitor if you prefer. I have used this device as a portable player with its built in screen and two way capabilities and also hooked it up to my 20 inch TV and Technics stereo. The picture on the TV was excellent and the sound through the stereo receiver was very deep and rich. The remote control is very thin and feels a bit too light, but it worked fine as long as I pointed it directly at the front of the device. I was about eleven feet from it and it worked fine. However, I would treat the remote with care not to accidentally sit on it and leave it stuck between the sofa cushions. I say that because the buttons on the DVD player itself are a bit awkward to use. Located below the built-in screen, they are not positioned very well. The buttons on the unit work, I've checked them all and they work as they should, but it's much easier to control it with the remote so you need to be sure you don't damage the remote. The built-in 360 degree swivel screen is great. It works well no matter how far you twist it. While the screen is large enough to comfortably view from about three meters away, you're better off sitting two meters or less away from it. Overall I couldn't find anything negative about this device other than what I mentioned regarding the buttons on the device itself. I highly recommend this portable DVD player. - Mike S
