So, I've bought, applied and have had an intensive past experience with products for this purpose, privacy yet enough clear sight to see out. I've also installed ones that had a crystalized pattern for privacy where it was blurred out on both ends, for bathrooms. That being said and showing that I'm not a newbie to installing products of this caliber; this product is god awful. Please do not purchase. It advertises that you can see clearly through it yet, you cannot. Maybe because I made the mistake of choosing black as a layered color. Possible. But still, i don't like nor feel comfortable with the blockage of my vision of the outside world. At night it's most prominent. Even with the outdoor lights on in the backyard (we applied it on our sliding glass door) we couldn't see those lights nor the street light, everything was darkened outside and if you had a light on inside it would cause a heavy glare and reflection back towards you therefore impeding your vision of the outside world, further, see why this could be an issue? Especially for security? Also, another huge issue is, once installed we both went outside and looked into the door from many different angles and distances away and YOU CAN STILL CLEARLY SEE INSIDE THE HOUSE. There is ABSOLUTELY NO MIRRORED AFFECT AS ADVERTISED! You could *very* clearly see the inside of our living room and everything inside, ew. The *only* affect it had on our visibility was it was slightly darkened, like a few shades darkened but not enough to block out the image of anything. So we immediately peeled it off and threw it in the trash. I purchased 2 rolls because I needed 2 rolls worth to cover the sliding door. Both were drenched in water (because of the required application process) and are completely rolled out to length whereas they were shipped rolled and shrink wrapped. I contacted amazon and every moron I speak to via chat tells me the same thing, I will not get a credit or refund if I do not return the actual item. Which I'm not fishing that annoying waste of my life and money, out to trek away and return it. Lesson learned. Walking away but felt the need and urge to warn others, walk away, don't buy, it's trash. I'll update if the seller contacts me. Which, I doubt.
