Let me get this straight - the plasticizer I originally received fell apart after limited use as noted by a number of reviewers. This review is really all about Checkered Chef's customer service. After the product fell apart, I contacted them by phone. I spoke to a gentleman who apologized and explained that he had received a bad batch of plasticizer. He said he would send me a new one. A few hours later I received an email confirming that a new softener had been sent out with a gift for my concern. Forty-eight hours later I had a replacement. So far we have not used a substitute; However, it would be better if other companies offered comparable customer service.
