Super Easy to Use! on my review.

This thing is super easy to use! Doesn't give "codes" to look up, but actually shows you what the codes are in plain English right on the screen! Nearly every modern car since the late 90s has a computer with Onboard Diagnostics version 2, aka OBD2. The plug for your car, yes yours (because it will work unless its got classic car tags), is under the dash on the drivers side near the center console. You don't have to remove anything, just plug this in, turn key to ON or press the start button without your foot on the brake. This turns on automatically and is really easy to use. The scan takes about 15 seconds. After the scan you can read whatever issues the car sees and if you have a check engine light, you can reset the light. My personal experience with this has been with a 2003 Honda Element EX-AWD with 330k miles and a 2014 Acura MDX with 60k miles. With the Honda I had a Check Engine Light, aka CEL, that just came on after getting gas a few days ago. I plugged it in, ran the scan, it said LOOSE GAS CAP. I checked the cap, and sure enough it was loose. I tightened the cap, cleared the code, and the CEL has been gone for days now! Saved me at least a few hundred bucks, several hours, and a day out of work! I'm no mechanic! This is SUPER EASY TO USE! Next I plugged it into my Acura. The Acura has never had any CEL, ever, so I was curious since it really is that easy. It ran the codes, showed it was running a little lean but nothing to be concerned with. Wait. It's telling me what to expect if I do later get a CEL but it's not bad yet so don't worry? WOW!If you found this review helpful, please click so below. Thanks :)

Pros
  • Great product. My husband said he didn't have any issues with it all. It works perfectly.
Cons
  • The scanner is not compatible with all car models, as claimed
