Nice looking piece of steel, well finished. But in the pits of another grenade, mine came up with a little rust. I cleaned it and put the valve in a bucket of water overnight. And let it dry (slowly) in the garage. And all the rust particles returned (in the same places) and there was very little rust on the handle (under the nut). No rust on inner ball or thread. But some rust on the outer shell and the handle. That's pretty much what I've seen when buying 304 stainless steel products made in China. Not all. But when it feels underrated compared to the competition, they cut it and I get rusty. Since the valve had to be outdoors (exposed to rain and condensation) I didn't want to risk how badly it would rust. I'll go ahead and send it back. Which I am reluctant to do as it is such a well designed and engineered (and smooth running) valve.
