This is our third heater in about 10 years. This has the same issues as the others in that the controls make a buzzing noise when activated. I hear but my husband doesn't hear or it doesn't bother him. Luckily I turn off the heating pad at night after preheating for a few hours. This heating pad is not as warm as the previous ones and I don't like it. Setting it to 9 and preheating for 3 hours barely gets warm. Also, there is too much space between the edge of the mat and where it gets hot - both on the sides and in the legs. My feet are cold. Really unsatisfied with this product. This type of device usually gets bad reviews - couldn't someone invent a smart device with good controls. It seems so easy to be able to add an app so you can keep it warm in the evenings and set a timer to turn it off. Aggravating!
