Review on 🔧 Dorman 917-211 VVT Solenoid: Optimize Engine Performance for Lexus and Toyota Models by Brian Cueto

Got code P1354 on my friend's 1999 Lexus ES 300. A very rough idle, uneven brake pressure and jerky gear changes were all symptoms. Thanks to many reviews here as well as some YouTube videos, I realized this is exactly the part I need. Installation took about 15 minutes and the hardest part was disconnecting the oily electrical connection from the existing solenoid. We decided to just rip it apart to make it easier to detach. We oiled the new solenoid's o-ring and it snapped straight into place. The "Check Engine" light went out within 20 miles and all symptoms were gone. It's only been a few days, but so far so good.
