We got one of these as a gift about five years ago. It was perfect for our needs in the kitchen. But the touch-sensitive push switch to turn on the radio became less and less reliable to the point that we had trouble turning it on at all. The light often burned out 40-watt lightbulbs, maybe four or five a year. In addition, the light began to have problems with the constant recording. It would flicker and cause noise) from the radio. We ended up putting the unit away because we were afraid of an electrical fire. The warranty on the device is only one year, after that our problems started. While this device had its issues, we miss it terribly and want another device with similar features. We are not interested in those who have a CD or tape recorder. They take up a little more space than this model.
