Review on πŸ“· COOAU 4K Action Camera with Touch Screen, WiFi, EIS Stabilization, Underwater Waterproof, External Microphone, Remote Control, 2x1350Amh Batteries - Native 60fps, 20MP by Chris Hazzard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pretty good action cam for a reasonable price.

This camera is good for what it is. It takes very good pictures especially underwater, I'll play around with the settings and see which ones work best to get the best photos, but the default settings are really good. The video is pretty good too. 4k 60fps is pretty sharp video if you can stabilize it well. The EIS is ok, it helps a bit with some bumps and bumps but I wouldn't say it compares to a stabilizer. EIS only works at settings below 4k 60fps, so you'll lose some smoothness if you drop down to 4k 30fps, but this is only noticeable when you're moving the camera quickly. 1080p at max fps is probably the best setting for this as it will deliver the smoothest and most stable video. The touchscreen is really handy and makes it a lot easier to select options or the video/image mode. The power/mode button on the front now only toggles on/off and toggles between video and image capture, no need to scroll through settings to return to video mode (very nice improvement). The battery cover is much easier to open than on my old model (also a huge improvement). It now has a screw connector for attachment with just a camera screw instead of a clamp. I dive and the waterproof case works great going to 100ft with no leaks. Battery life is pretty good too, depending on what I'm doing or what video settings I'm using, but it's quite long. At 4km I can usually do two 45 minute dives on one battery if I have enough energy. The Wi-Fi connection is handy for getting photos and videos to my phone, it's a bit slow with live view but that can probably be fixed with an app update or something. While syncing the time and date with the app is really nice and easy, you can also change settings through it. So this camera is pretty good for the price. It has its pros and cons, but overall it's so cheap compared to others that I'd say it's worth it. If it were the more expensive ones I'd give it a 4, but I'll give it a 5 for the price range. I would buy this camera again if I had to, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a cheap action camera for moderate use and personal video. As always I will update this if anything changes if there is no update, good news.
