I'm not a metal expert but I can't believe it's stainless steel. It's very light and doesn't feel very hard in my hand. The hinges are not very well made as they dangle a lot. It worked, but with a little more effort than my old fruit press. I will be happy if I live a few years... and not 100 years as the seller claims. This is at best a light to medium duty press. If you're looking for a strong abs that you use a lot, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for abs that you use a few times a year this will help, I hope you find this review and photos helpful!
