Research has shown that you should have 3 levels of protection. The first is on the motherboard with the entire home security device. The second level of protection is at the subpanel if any and there is surge protection, and finally at the point of use of what you want to protect such as a battery. B. the output bar of the surge protector. These surge protector strips offer a lifetime warranty, as well as an insurance policy to repair or replace anything connected to them should they burn out during a power surge. Tripp Lite offers good protection at a good price. I have my own house and a rental house and a large caravan with a trailer. It took me 13 of these strips to cover all three spots, but now I'm fully protected by setting all the protection levels.
