If you're planning to pay for Cuisinart because you think you'll have a great blender for a lifetime, keep looking, because this blender will blow at a glance. Time. I've had it for almost two and a half years now but have only used it a couple of times to make milkshakes. It seemed to have a lower top speed than any blender I've had before. Just the other day I chopped and grated onion and garlic. The blender died, giving off a burning smell. I can't think of an easier task for Blender. It looks brand new - in my recycle bin. I would advise ignoring reviews of new technologies. Why even do such a crap? Got my money last Cuisinart. Fraud! I understand that there are no good mixers? If you have one that will last and stumbled upon it, please make an offer.
