It's been a hot, muggy summer and I'm trying to control the excess humidity. In this old house, keeping the humidity under control can be a chore. I clean and recycle them, but most of them probably end up in landfills. A friend suggested charcoal packs and I've been using them for a few years now. These burlap air purifier bags are non-toxic and work very well. They work well in my home because I have pets and can easily place them in places I wouldn't use other packaging. I put them in places where I need moisture and/or odor control. Some of them have grommets and I use small hooks to hang them (I have some on hand). Others have solid ropes that I can use for hanging. They're definitely reusable, so don't be quick to throw them away. Just lay them in the sun for about an hour, turning them occasionally. I love the burlap like material and the fact that I can hang them up. I value functionality and environmental friendliness. I have a lot of them and I feel like I can never have too many. Another useful application is moisture protection in the place where my canned food is stored that all survivalists should be aware of. In terms of price, this is the best choice I've seen.
