Looks like an almost exact replica of the Progressive Mandoline Planer. But it doesn't seem to be due to the progressive quality. I should have known the savings were too good to be true. To be honest mine looked like they had been returned before. The box was damaged and torn (although the shipping box was in pristine condition) and all the pieces just accidentally fell off. However, the imperfections that I assume caused the previous owner to return it appear to be just part of the design. I was never able to get the adjustment knob to position #4; it just wouldn't move, and if you looked at the moving parts on the underside, they couldn't move anymore. The julienne blade pusher was weak and lacked a positive "click" or even the ability to stay where it was set. The plastic food guide/hand guard did not move smoothly even when no food was loaded. I really wanted to like this product - it *seems* to do everything I want in a mandoline slicer (including the wavy cut, which is deceptively hard to find a feature for). But it has to work to be useful, and while I have no doubt that it will cut veggies well into straight slices of a certain thickness, I'd like to be able to use all of the advertised features somehow. So everything comes back and I'll try my luck with another product.
