Something like this is a must have if you are a painter working outside of work. This is a great tool for cleaning gun feed ports. Small enough to fit in your pocket or tool box. It has several different sized brushes on the ring to keep things organized. (Any instrument can be removed from this ring if necessary.) There are also a number of metal probes for passing through flow holes and nozzles that can become clogged. The second tool uses a set of the same feelers and can also be used as a file for light work. Sometimes I use them as files on nuts for stringed instruments. As for using it on a carburetor. I think with careful use they can be suitable for the job. As a retired auto technician, I could use them, but unless you're trained, be careful not to widen any holes that you could poke them through. Time. I have a set of needles that I have had for years and this set is exactly the same quality and manufacture as these. That way I'm sure they will last a long time as the brushes are the only thing that can eventually deteriorate and need to be replaced. Supplied in a zipped bag containing 2 tools of each tool so 4 in total. So I have duplicate tools. Knowing they will last a while I will probably give a second set to a relative who can use them.
