Poor at first. I'm not crazy about the smell that comes out when you sprinkle it, but if the cat goes to the toilet, she'll eat that stench in a few minutes. Here's how I use it. After each toilet change, I sprinkle evenly (like pasta with grated cheese). I then add extra cat litter if needed. I use good quality cat litter and empty it about twice a year. Please note that quality cat litter does not mean organic. This means that when they pee, they form a brick and all the liquid and poo comes out when I scoop, leaving an almost completely unused litter box. My system needs kitty litter and this deodorant.
