The large o-ring is larger than the notch on the filter and is actually much larger than the diameter of the filter (wrong size). The reason I bought them was because the o-rings came with the filter. I have a new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) filter and when comparing the purchased filters to the OEM, the filter paper on these purchased filters seems less dense. What this means to me is that theoretically, filters can be 100% effective at filtering golf ball-sized particles, but only 50% effectively at pea-sized particles. I send them back and buy branded fuel filters to protect my injectors.
