Review on Columbia Men's Bonehead Short-Sleeve Shirt: The Ultimate Catch for Style and Comfort by Jeremy Jackz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great shirt but it runs big so take at least one size smaller than usual.

Columbia is a renowned quality brand and their Performance Fishing (PFG) line is a step above their usual high quality. The PFG line usually offers breathable materials and often dries quickly too. I have several different styles of their shirts, shorts, boards and even pants and they are all of the highest quality. I can safely say that I have never had a problem with any Columbia PFG product. These bonehead shirts are made of cotton and are very comfortable, although they wrinkle very easily. You have to get them out of the dryer and on a hanger quickly or they'll end up in the hands of the iron (if looking good while fishing is important to you). The shirt is soft enough to be comfortable when pouring. there is no sense of stiffness, strength. It also stretches a little. So if you're sweating and sticky fighting a pelagic animal, it gives a little instead of breaking your circulation. The buttons are sewn with high quality, you can't be afraid that they will unravel or tear. They have breathable flaps on the back with mesh to keep the shirt from slipping off the back and letting air through. They are very comfortable on hot days. The only thing I can't figure out is how big these shirts are. I bought four of these and they are all large. I'm 6ft 1in, 215lbs and I'm tall. Put a big t-shirt on me and I look like Chris Farley as Matt Foley, a motivational speaker, but these shirts are huge. The first one I ever bought was an XL, and three years later it's still hanging in my closet, never worn. I can't bring myself to buy a medium, but I can just do it for the size and return it if it's too tight. The large size is comfortable, just a little big. Overall these shirts are very well made, very comfortable and very affordable compared to other brands of much lower quality.
