Review on 12 Oz Jason Dandruff Relief Treatment Shampoo - Effective Solution for Dandruff by Kelvin Understanding

I can not live without her.

I've waited three years to post this review. Probably the best dandruff shampoo on the market for people with moderate to severe dandruff like me. The only review I read was by Joel S. Perry and I am so thankful I listened to that review years ago as I am literally scaly and 99% itch free. I've also had dandruff since I was little - grade 3. One day I scratched the back of my head angrily and my teachers took me to the nurses to check for head lice - to their relief it was only dandruff. I scratched my head until I bled so I took the liberty of trying everything in the pharmacy: Nizoral, Selsun Blue Extreme, Neutrogena T-Gel and don't get me started on Head & Shoulders! (Are you kidding?) Once I got so desperate I poured vinegar (undiluted) all over my head and it didn't itch for a week! But it never worked again and I couldn't get the smell out of my hair for days. Then I stumbled across this site and have been using Jason's shampoo regularly ever since - except for a three month hiatus because I foolishly thought my condition was "cured". But it was an accident and my itching returned so I decided to use the shampoo at least 2-3 times a week. I managed to avoid the smell because even after all these years I still smell it and it's unpleasant. My method: The shampoo spreads better when the scalp is already damp, so I always quickly rinse it off with water. a small amount of normal shampoo. Then I take a small amount and apply it to different areas of the scalp and rub in until the entire scalp is well covered. However, if you have long hair like mine and want to minimize the sulfur smell, ONLY APPLY ON THE HEAD! It only works on dandruff, so applying it to the rest of your hair is pointless and useless! I also use warm or cold water rather than hot. For the rest of my hair I either use conditioner or a heavily scented shampoo (Irish Spring or one of the men's shampoos) because when I rinse off the dandruff shampoo I don't want the rest of my hair to take on the smell. I leave at least 10-15 minutes, no exceptions! It takes time to work on the scalp, especially if this is your first time. Apply well before getting in the shower/bath if it lasts less than 10 minutes. At the end of the shower, I rinse out Jason's shampoo and apply conditioner to my scalp to moisturize my hair and also get rid of some of the smell. For some, that's enough and the rest of the aroma is barely perceptible. But that's not enough for me, so I apply Moroccan oil to my hair, a light body spray/perfume, blow dry it and I'm ready for the whole day. When in doubt, just try a bottle - I've convinced all my friends and their kids to do it. It's definitely worth every penny!
