Review on 🦶 PS 25 Standby Foot by FastCap by Gary Haymon

As a hobby furniture maker, carpenter and handyman, I don't overuse my tools, but I know what I like and don't like. like this role. Pros: It's easy to hold as it's not as bulky as most other tape measures I've used. Easy to read, black on white is easier to read for me than black on yellow. It is easy to use, the double band brake (top and bottom) makes it much easier to use with one hand. And finally, it's a great half price compared to other leading brands. Cons: The top brake quickly removes paint from the top of the tape in two narrow lines. This doesn't interfere with reading measured values, but it's also ugly. As others will tell you the protruding part on this tape is only about 6-8ft, it doesn't bother me but if you crop a lot it might bother you. When Revain starts selling the 16 foot model of this band I will be buying that too. I will also be receiving a 16 foot rod version of this tape. Update: After using this tape measure on some DIY jobs, I discovered another thing I really like about it. Some reviews of other FastCap roulettes have complained that the return spring is too strong. I noticed that this extra spring force allows you to attach the tape measure to the horizontal part of the stock. I was working with a lot of plywood and needed to take a few measurements. I found that I could hook one leg at one end, stretch the tape across the full width of the plywood, and the spring would allow the body to act as another leg. Both my hands were free to mark. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it made my life easier.
