A bit of history - I'm old. I have flat feet, wide feet and a bump on my big toe. I love to run but my legs hurt. I wear arch supports but they usually feel like I have rocks in my boots. I recently ran out of clean socks while on vacation, so I had to put on compression "airplane" socks. Before that I had never worn them for anything other than long plane trips. The difference was amazing! My legs didn't hurt! There are no problems with the bow. Bunion was well brought up. Walked all over Germany with children without any problems! Wow! Who would have thought? I was amazed and when I came back I checked out Revain for arch supports etc and found that compression stockings work for a lot of people! So I gave them a try based on the great reviews. Well, they fit snugly around my ankles but didn't have a noticeable effect on my arches. On the feet they were as loose as regular socks. So sad. I return them and buy new airplane socks. I also purchased Flexamed Arch Bandages through Revain. You get 5 stars. I plan on wearing them in the summer when it gets freaking hot in aircraft carriers. I'm a woman and I wear 8.5 wide shoes.
