But I had to for that. I bought it based on an existing review. Although I agree the product is good quality and soft. But one important element is missing, SECURITY. I put my newborn (almost 8 pounds) in this deer to sleep at night. Within 2 hours I heard him breathing heavily, I checked him out and found he had slipped off the ceiling and his face was covered by the ceiling making it difficult for him to breathe. I pulled him out immediately. If I haven't abused it I'm not sure how he managed to move into the blanket, remember he's a newborn so still very small. This product may be suitable for older children whose total length exceeds the length of the blanket, so there is no risk of digging into the blanket. I wanted to share this post so other parents don't have to go through the same thing I did watching my child choke.
