Review on πŸ”Š Powerful Sony XM-GS6DSP GS Series Class-D Amplifier with DSP and Bluetooth Connectivity by Reza Shoecraft

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it but the bluetooth function is TERRIBLE

(update 1/5 year): I raised my rating from 3 stars to 4.5 because I had no problems with it and it went without my participation connects to my phone. something very fast. Also, the crappy Bluetooth functionality is a blessing for me as I now have an excuse to always listen to music when I have passengers. The form factor is the best part of this amp, I can mount it behind a small 10" subwoofer and it has freed up a lot of space in my trunk and for the most part I'm happy with the sound quality. One thing I'm very disappointed with is the low motor speed feedback, which is only really noticeable when the music isn't playing. You need to add a switch built into the extra wire so you don't go crazy. However, the Bluetooth performance is really bad. You can't just plug in the device after setting up the DSP with the app. Every new device must have an app to connect to. It doesn't matter if you often don't have family members in the car. If you have a lot of friends riding with you I would suggest just using the head unit to play music and not directly via the amp's bluetooth.
