After reading other reviews I was almost nervous about putting this together, but liked it almost immediately. Assembly is easy if you follow the instructions carefully. Yes, they could have been written better, but it's pretty easy to distinguish between common sense and conclusion. The only additional tool you will need is a Phillips screwdriver. It was surprisingly strong as my 1 year old pulled on it quite hard during and after assembly to try and look inside and it never tipped over or broke. It is very easy to move and fits well through the middle door. It's a bit shorter than I expected, so you won't want to bend it down for long. But it's the perfect height for easy walking to the bed, where you can reach right up to and check on your little one.
