I squeezed my lemons with my hands but it didn't really help. You can't get all the juice that way (or at least I can't), and there's a high chance you'll have to drop a few lemon seeds in the juice and fish them out. I decided to step up my lemon squeezer game and buy an actual tool for the job. (I wouldn't consider it a disposable tool as you can also use it to squeeze a lime). It's strong and works great. 5 Stars! I used to use a plastic juicer and accidentally broke it by putting too much pressure on the hinge trying to squeeze out the last few drops of juice, so I like the fact that it's metal.
