This product isn't much different than the protective glass screens you would put on your mobile phone, except that it's larger for a larger 8 inch screen. I installed it on my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara screen and not only does it improve the look of the screen, I'm relieved that there is another layer of protection for such an expensive device.
