Can only be programmed on/off button. You cannot control the volume on the secondary device, only on the main device that the power button is connected to. So if you have a soundbar, you can program the remote to control the soundbar, but your STB device will not be controlled by the remote's power button. I need a remote that controls the power and volume of an additional device like a soundbar. My awesome soundbar lacks the CEC function and it is voiced over an optical cable so I have to turn on the IR function. Looking for the only remote solution that includes the STB (Android) as well as my soundbar/subwoofer and controls the volume as an IR function. This remote could do it but failed because the microcontroller is not configured properly. I could spend over $100 on Logitech, but I refuse to spend that kind of money on a remote control. sends an IR function to my soundbar for power and a separate IR signal for volume on the soundbar. After getting it working I bought a second remote control for my 2017 Nvidia Sheld for the same setup on another TV I have. The new remote also works great with the old Shield.
