I was wary of purchasing this adapter due to all the negative reviews about poor materials, faulty connections and generally very short lifespan, but for the price and the need to connect my laptop to the internet. fast, I ordered it anyway. He arrived the next day. The packaging was flimsy and the plastic case didn't feel as sturdy as I'd like, but the connections weren't loose and the wires weren't visible as others have reported. I had to push the ethernet cable very hard into the end of the adapter before I could hear the click because there was no sign of a cable connection beforehand. It's true that if you move the cable around a lot you'll lose connection, but if you leave it in place it works all the time. I haven't seen a red indicator showing it's connected to the internet, but I'm just looking at the indicator on my computer. It was a good buy for a quick second emergency call, but definitely a higher quality, more expensive adapter for longer use.
